Popular pop music stars will be covering Bob Dylan songs. They are all doing this Amnesty International Chimes of Freedom. One of the pop stars is Ke$ha who is known for her wild partying ways and said that she brushes her teeth with Jack Daniels. She will be covered one of Bob Dylan’s songs on the four-disc called, “Chimes of Freedom.” Ke$ha is known for her party anthem songs such as “Tik-Tok”, and “Your Love is My Drug.” She will be covered Dylan’s song, “Don’t Think Twice. It’s Alright” and the emotions in the song is heavily felt as Ke$ha saw that she was giving up her former life and making changes in her life. She found that the song brought on a deep and personal meaning into her own life and she saw how relevant the song was to her own life.
The four-disc will be for honoring Amnesty’s International fifty years of service. The album will feature 75 recorded Bob Dylan songs by approximately 80 different artists. Some of the artists that will be on the album are Sting, Sugarland, Adele, Elvis Costello, Maroon 5, and more. The previous Chimes of Freedom album that was done in 2007 covered all songs by John Lennon called “Instant Karma,” was able to raise over four million dollars to help the people of Darfur.
Miley Cyrus has been reported to be on the album and she will be doing a rendition on the song, :You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go.” Folk legend Pete Seeger who is now 92-years-old will sing with a children choir the song, “Forever Young.”
